Mitch can build a website that is right for you, one that is designed to reflect your business and communicate effectively. Designing with web standards and CSS, his websites work on all browsers and are very Google friendly. Mitch has been building websites since 1995 and has been designing for print since childhood.
I started Mitch Rossow Design, Inc. in 1997 after leaving General Mills where I designed and produced packaging. Before General Mills, I worked for Metacom, a record company that distributed interactive music displays. I met a lot of great people in the music industry there and decided to start my own company where I would have the freedom to concentrate on projects and work with clients directly. That has been my goal and enjoyment ever since — working closely with my clients to provide what they need and the best design possible.
The web is changing every day; new techniques and new opportunities require staying on top of the sea of information. I love figuring things out and can explain in clear terms what things do and how they work. My clients are busy with their own businesses; they need clarity and direct explanations as well as my ability to get the job done within their limits of time and money.
I was raised in a family print shop and learned to set type in grade school. My dad, also a technology buff, bought a Heathkit H8 computer in 1979 to manage the shop. I took to it quickly and saw the possibilities. A badge of honor: the first modem I used was 110 baud — at a young age I could out-type it.
In college I took all kinds of classes that most art majors would never consider: chemistry, calculus, astronomy, geology, political science, philosophy. That's why I have a B. S. in art. If anything, I am curious about the world around me and want to know how it works.
All this comes together for me in design and the web. Design is about information and how the mind interprets it. The web is a living thing, always changing and functioning. This perspective gives me the skills and attitude to deliver. That might be why over 90% of my clients are referred.
